Chinook Technology is coming out with a HD for the //c, so you better wait for

No, the Transwarp is made for the IIe/+, the Transwarp GS is not available yet.
All:
It won't speed up squat, the Transwarp goes up to 3.6 megahertz, the Zip Chip
goes up to 4. So you will go 4 megahertz, and thats it.

I've never used one, but doesn't the Transwarp have a connector that plugs into
where the CPU should be? I thought it replaced the 6502 chip. If that's so, you
wouldn't be able to have both Transwarp and Zip Chip in the same machine.

Unless you are the Multitasker. Then you could do it as soon as you finish your
"C" programing class.
I hope the rocket chip makes it out. I am wondering what an "E" looks like at
5mz. I would also be very angry if a company like Zip who has screwed so many
people by advertising and preselling their non existent product held up a
legitamate one.

Another nice thing about the transwarp is that supposedly, when AE comes out
with a faster chip, you can just plug it into your existing transwarp card (for
the //gs).
So even if you buy it now (or soon, whenever it's available), it will be easy
to get it upgraaded...

What is the source of your information on the GS+, many people say that the new
system is gonna be coming out, but they never really do. If the IIgs+ is gonna
be 6 times faster, it will be cool though.

Yeah, I was thinking that a "What's the GS+?" post was about due any second
now. Congrats to #222 for keeping up the trend.
About the Zip/Rocket: If you put one into a IIe/c with a PC Transporter, would
your PC software run faster, since the Transporter has software running on the
II system to help interface the two systems?

I live and work in Centerville, Ohio, and a local club I attend, Apple-Dayton,
composed several articles dealing with computer viruses. It seems that in the
Dayton area, there was some trouble with computer viruses, and recently the
trouble has ceased to a halt. I feel that computer viruses, at least in the
Dayton area, are not as big of a scare anymore. Luckly it never became to big
of a sport.

..but, if the GS+ was to be out in December, don't you think that the
developers would know by now? The only proof that they do know are those files
floating around, and I have no idea where they came from. People knew much
more about the "Apple //x" a few years back months before it came out than they
know about the GS+ now.

If it truely is x6 faster then the GS, then I bet that Apple is going to charge
and arm and a leg for it too. The GS runs at 2.8 (2.5 actually), so if the GS+
is running x6 faster, it will be running at 15 MHz which is only .7 slower then
the Mac II which we all know how much that costs. It would not be good
business for Apple to release a computer which would compete with its own other
system for to low a price. It is for this reason that I remain skeptical about
that speed of the GS+. However, I hope that it truely does run 15MHz, cause I
personally hate the Mac II.

The TransWarp card plugs into slot 3 on the //e. So I would think that you
could use both of them at the same time. I don't know why anyone would want to
but I guess it could be done since the Rocket Chip would take the place of the
65c02.
